We are delighted that Christian Sweet has won the Society of Garden Designers Award for the Historic Garden Restoration of Villa Balbiano on Lake Como.

The Judges said that this was:

“A beautiful restoration demonstrating excellent attention to detail and a beautiful finish. A sensitive interpretation of the historic context and careful attention to detail in the restoration of key features has created a stunning garden for those visiting, giving a real sense of what was there before.”
